Professional EOS Implementer™ | Executive MBA | Associate CPA | Master of Project Management and Property Development | Bachelor of Commerce
I started my first business when I was just 10 years old, mowing lawns in my hometown suburb. Even then, I loved the thrill of being an entrepreneur, creating value and being rewarded for it. I knew early on that business would become a passion I would pursue, all of my life.
Fast forward to now and I have a 20-year history of owning and operating successful businesses across a variety of industries and building companies before successfully exiting them when the time was right.
At 21 years of age, I co-owned and operated two fuel retailing businesses with annual revenues of $14m and 25 staff, responsible for all day-to-day management and P&L responsibility for the business. I successfully negotiated a head lease of both sites to Caltex Australia Ltd and Woolworths Ltd, before selling both freehold properties in 2009.
Then aged 27, I co-owned and managed a successful mid-tier Sydney-based construction business, which grew to 70 full-time staff and circa $65m in revenues. It was listed on the BRW Fastest 100 growing companies in Australia in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
During this period, I partnered with a facilitator and implemented EOS® – the Entrepreneurial Operating System – into my own company. In essence, EOS® is a complete set of simple concepts and practical tools that have helped thousands of entrepreneurs get what they want from their businesses. I used these tools to achieve significant growth and build a winning leadership team to lead my company into the future.
It became instrumental to my company’s success as we achieved unprecedented profitable growth. This discovery ignited my passion to share the system with other like-minded business owners, partnering with them to create winning leadership teams that achieve their company’s vision.
The EOS Model™ provides a visual illustration of the Six Key Components™ of any business that must be managed and strengthened to be a great business. This model applies to big and small businesses alike, in any industry.
Vision. Strengthening this component means getting everyone in the organisation 100 percent on the same page with where you’re going and how you’re going to get there.
People. Simply put, we can’t do it without great people. This means surrounding yourself with great people, top to bottom, because you can’t achieve a great vision without a great team.
Data. This means cutting through all the feelings, personalities, opinions and egos and boiling your organisation down to a handful of objective numbers that give you an absolute pulse on where things are.
Issues. Strengthening this component means becoming great at solving problems throughout the organisation – setting them up, knocking them down and making them go away forever.
Process. This is the secret ingredient in your organisation. This means “systemising” your business by identifying and documenting the core processes that define the way to run your business. You’ll need to get everyone on the same page with what the essential procedural steps are, and then get everyone to follow them to create consistency and scalability in your organisation.
Traction®. This means bringing discipline and accountability into the organisation – becoming great at execution – taking the vision down to the ground and making it real.
"To the degree you focus on strengthening these Six Components as leaders and managers, everything will fall into place. That will move your business into the top 5 percent."
I've worked for a range of clients, both big and small. Here’s what a few of them have to say about their experience with me…
Working with Mark has been simultaneously challenging and exciting. Not only does he listen, but he really pays attention. I greatly appreciate his honesty. Our coaching sessions give me a calming sense of perspective, allowing me to generate new solutions and strategies. Mark has encouraged me to face situations in my business that I would normally shy away from. I sincerely thank him for his valuable support and really look forward to our next coaching session.
Working with Mark Di Noia was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our business.
Mark started helping SHEETH in January 2019. We engaged him for many reasons, including his real life experience in creating and managing very successful businesses. Mark’s ability to listen and understand the difficulties faced in a business sealed the deal.
Mark genuinely cares about you and wants to help his clients create a better future, both within and outside of their businesses. He’s taught me how to understand businesses performance and make calculated decisions for the future. He works through micro and macro business issues and has an extraordinary ability to get to the root of any problem and help find the right solution. In essence, Mark gave me the systems and tools to play a bigger game. It is a blessing to be working with him. He’s an absolute powerhouse.
I worked with Mark during a period of uncertainty for our business. We had new clients, but some staff instability and profits were dwindling. We needed someone with Mark’s skill set and business background to help us get through this important period in our business evolution.
I had worked with other coaches before Mark, but none appeared to be as honest and open with me about the situation. Mark was able to provide us with the key insights necessary to make some big business decisions. I am very grateful for his guidance and support and highly recommend him to other business owners seeking some clarity and accountability throughout their journey.
